Would it be possible to drill through this?

I'm trying to think of a way to fix it down to stop my baby from pulling it over if I leave him in the room for a moment, and I thought if I could drill through the base and put a bolt through each side and then drill into the wooden cabinet - would that work? Or would it just crack up the material? If not, any other ideas?
